Exporters checklist

This checklist is designed to assist you to determine if your business is ready to profit from export. Simply answer the following question for each section .


1. Your company already has a product or service available for export
 
2. The product is selling in the UAE market
 
3. You are selling your product in more than one of the three main centres (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah)
 
4. You have already achieved export sales for your product/service
 
5. You will be able to increase production by
 
6. Significant finance is available for export marketing and product development
 
7. In your business plan have you budgeted for export market development costs, e.g. market research, visits to the market, samples, brochures, website development etc?

   Do you have a budget?
 
8. Describe the management of your company
 
9. Promotional materials such as product brochures or videos are available
 
10. The company has calculated FOB (free on board) and CIF (cost, insurance, freight) prices for export products
 
11. The company has undertaken research into overseas markets
