Membership Application
UAE companies doing business in foreign countries or having a need to keep up with the global marketplace, especially with the economic and trade developments affecting Dubai and the UAE, are encouraged to register with the Dubai Export Development Corporation (EDC) and apply for membership. The membership of EDC will provide a convenient means of accessing global trade information and preferred services for its members.
EDC is the only Government of Dubai agency dedicated solely to export promotion, including providing information and services in trade policy, export finance, market information and international trade research to its members. We intend to assist our members by providing advice, market intelligence and support to reduce the cost, risk and time involved in developing international markets.
Members of EDC would be able to benefit from a range of services to assist them in international business. These services include, but not limited to, the following :
- Regular updates on international trade developments, news and market opportunities through our quarterly e-newsletter.
- General advice and information on exporting, and, at a reasonable fee, provision of industrial investment opportunity profiles and specifically tailored business solutions to meet your needs.
- Export coaching by our international trade development specialists.
- Provision of market intelligence for our focus markets and target sectors.
- Market entry assistance, including business matching on subsidized basis, in selected export markets by our international offices.
- Assistance when participating in selected international trade exhibitions and trade missions.
- Support through the Export Assistance Program allowing partial reimbursement of eligible expenses incurred in developing export markets.
- Networking opportunities with international buyers and decision makers
- Access to organized lobbying with government departments.
- Provision of export credit insurance through the Export Credit Insurance Company of the Emirates at preferential rates.
- Access to financial services through our partners on preferential terms.
To apply for our membership, one of the following eligibility conditions must be satisfied by your company:
- Be a UAE-based manufacturer of goods.
- Be a Dubai based provider of services .
- Be a UAE-based re-exporter of goods.
